Memories
Went through my photos from Jun 2007 till now. Plenty of excellent memories. The background music from 90.5 was very soothing. I never regretted taking any of those photos. Going through a year's photos took me 2 hours. This is simply purely from photos. I haven't started talking about videos yet.

Dinner w Mei
Mei walked over to my office after work and we had dinner @ Sushi Tei. Ordered quite a fair bit as both of us were hungry. I had my usual fare of Cha Soba, Agadashi Tofu and Salmon Mushroom. She ordered Ramen, Salmon Sashimi & Soft Shell Crab. It's quite obvious that our tastes are mutually exclusive except for the Salmon Mushroom. Thought the AACM Deployment was smooth and was about to go home when errors were reported from EMAS side. Mei ended up sleeping in my office until 12+ while waiting for me before we went home.
Pool during lunch
Wanted to ask Benny out for pool during lunch. But he had some work to do @ the last minute. So I had lunch w Alex & Vincent @ a corner coffeeshop @ Fook Hai Building. Hong Lim is closed for cleaning so this coffee shop enjoyed a roaring business today. Verdict. Expensive. $3 for 3 dishes of 菜饭. Taste not so good. The only redeeming factor is the curry. Alex went back to office while Vincent & I played pool. Today the result is more balanced. I managed to edge past Vincent 8-7. I would prefer a little bit of Alcohol when playing pool. But none of us felt like drinking today.

Went through the photos Larry took on the flyer last Friday. My photos are a far cry compared to his. Some of the photos are so clear during night mode that I felt like wearing sunglasses when viewing them. Hopefully, one of the photos can win something.

Overeating
We redeemed Mummy's $1 Burger King voucher @ Holland Village. Bought an extra Mushroom Swiss Meal as well. There can only be one conclusion when I buy too much. A bloated Chern. Went home and waited for a while before jogging. Jogged to Mobil and dropped Mummy's letters. Jogged another 9 rounds around Hua Guan Park. Felt much better after the run. Went back home and continued eating the BK Fish Burger and a bit of Bee Hoon before washing up.
Guiness 9-Ball Tour in Singapore
Somehow for this leg in Singapore, I watched quite a fair bit of it on television. Caught the semi-final between Wu Chia Ching & Alex Pagulayan @ home after lunch. The standard of play is not as good as before. Also caught the final between Dennis Orcollo & Alex Pagulayan @ Bikini Bar. But it got so boring that I got distracted by the babes in Bikini and the actual pool game in the bar between a guy in roller blades and an Ang Moh. The Ang Moh won. By the time I realised that the final was still on the telly, Alex Pagulayan is already holding the trophy.
Siok Chai from Tanglin Halt
Went Ling's home to get some food that her Mum cooked. Went back home immediately as it was lunch time already. Saw one of Hwa Chong's security guard @ Sixth Avenue junction. He's the only one that really does his job. He also recognised us and waved to us. But by the time we got back, Ling was so tired that she slept through lunch. Besides the Siok Chai from Ling's Mum, we also had Prawn Fritters and Egg w Onion. Not to forget the Chilli Padi Sauce. The Chilli Padi Sauce was one of the best things that happened in the kitchen.
Khmer Language
Surfed around and looked for resources on the Khmer Language. Saw a blog of an Italian-American's experiences on learning the Khmer Language. Wiki says that Khmer is the language w the longest alphabet. Unlike Vietnamese and Thai, Khmer is not tonal.

9-ball tour - Drop in standard
Stopped over @ Bar Bar Black Sheep on the way home coz it felt good just to sit around and have drink. Had my Hoegaarden Pint and Ling had her Ice Water. Chose a seat just in front of a fan. Ling passed me her straw to drink my Hoegaarden. The highlights of the Guiness 9-Ball Tour was shown and on TV was Alex Pagulayan was thrashing some lousy Vietnamese guy. Seriously, I could make some of the shots that the Vietnamese guy missed and this is the quarter-finals. Ever since Francisco Bustamante, Efren Reyes and a host of other players left the Asian 9-ball tour because Guiness is a rival sponsor to their own sponsors, the standard of the 9-ball tour has dropped. Went home and watched Dennis Orcollo beat Fu Jian Bo. I also realised that Chang Jung Lin is not even in the quarter-finals. Slept right after the match as my body wanted to sleep.
No business @ Central Mall
Walked back to Solomon Street after Ling's haircut. The pubs @ Central Mall are dead as usual. Some of the girls @ PDS Bar are sitting outside and Ling said they are more sexy than the ones @ Thai Disco. We walked past Viva Pub and Ling said that it looks quite cheap. Would have loved to give them business for a mug of beer. But The pub doesn't have food. So we went to Henderson Road for Teochew Moi. Waited @ the car park for a while before I got my lot. There was a long queue @ the stall too. So Ling went to queue first. Ordered Minced Meat, Egg and Century Egg. Total bill is just $3.50 for Ling & I. It was cheap and good. Talked quite a bit to Ling about my friends in the coffeeshop after we finished the food. The place is just so conducive for talking. I no longer enjoy talking in enclosed places like Pubs or even my own room. I like to talk in open air places nowadays.
Ling's Haircut @ People's Park
Ling drove the Kelisa from Bukit Timah to Serene Centre. I then took over the wheel from there. It's the first time that Ling drove in weeks. We went down to People's Park where I took Ling to the hairdresser that last cut my hair. Ling took a long time to decide on the hairstyle. She wanted Jessica Liu's hairstyle from the Beach Volleyball show. But the hairdresser said that the hair must be rebonded for the hairstyle to be nice. Read Mei's Economist while waiting for the haircut to be done. The hairdresser recognised me and said that Ling & I should go for haircut together next time.
Lunch @ Casuarina Curry
We went to Casuarina Curry along Kilinney Road for lunch. Mummy ordered Briyani. Mei had Mushroom Cheese Prata. Ling had Mutton Murtabak and I had Nasi Goreng. My Nasi Goreng came in a nice mini-wok. Took some of Ling's Murtabak and Mummy's Briyani. Mei passed me half her Double Egg. I didn't like their Chicken Curry. Preferred to stick to the original Prata Curry. I think the standard of the curry is slightly lower than the one in Upper Thomson. The Nasi Goreng was nice though. There were only 3 staff there and it was obviously understaffed. One of them had to pause his kitchen duties to collect money from me. Ling couldn't finish her Mutton Murtabak so we brought it home.
Stupid brown Camry
Drove to Mummy to Peace Centre. We wanted to avoid the ERP. So we planned to leave @ 12 noon. Mei took 10 minutes to get ready and I forgot about the Ultrasound photos. So we ended up leaving @ 12:12 pm. To compound matters. A brown Camry was moving very slowly in the jam in front of me. To add insult to injury, he managed to sneak in before ERP started because of the stupid red light. So I saw the ERP thing turn on right in front of me. Damn it! 1 dollar!
Ling's office
Ling left her Hard Disk in office. So we went back Hwa Chong to take it. The security guard let us in without questions. He must have recognised me by now. Took a photo of Ling's office. It's even bigger than my previous Great Eastern Desk. Don't even need to mention the size of my current desk. We then went King Albert Park where Ling ate a Sausage McMuffin w Egg meal.

Wanted to ask Stephen out for a drink. But Bishan is not feeling well and he has to go back. In the end I called Edwin and he said I can join him and a friend for drinks @ Riverside Mall. We went to this place called Modern Asia for drinks. It's a Japanese Restaurant that looks like a Spa from outside. In fact, when I saw the entrance during the day. I really thought it was a spa. We had a $122.95 bottle of 1.8? Sake w Edwin. It was the cheapest Sake on the menu.
The ride up the flyer
We were the last people from GE to go up the flyer. Thanks to Wong Yoon Thong being late for Larry's team. Wong's team comprised Larry, David, Khoo Hui Wah, Joanne Tay and himself. Stephen had Xinhui, Valerie, Irene & me as team members. Both our teams occupied a capsule. The reason for all these 'team' shit is that we had to take the best creative photos and take part in a photo competition. Larry brought his equipment and I brought my tripod. Quite a lot of other teams had good cameras. But compact digital cameras are the norm as people began snapping away. Took quite a few photos w my tripod. We had a 'creative' shot of us trying to open the doors of the capsule and attempting to throw Irene out. My favourite was the one I took of Larry proning down to take a photo. Rotating it 90° made him look like Spiderman.
Lunch w Vicki
Went for lunch w Vicki to 国府. It's the first time I'm eating lunch w her. We ordered 妈婆豆腐, 锅贴 & 小龙包. Met Siyong there as well. She was there w a friend. It's a good weather to eat 四川 food. Vicki and I have similar tastes in food. We don't like Seafood. She also cannot stand exotic food. But at least she'll eat more meat than me. Though she told me that she liked the 豆腐, she was also commenting that it was spicy.
Dark clouds
Vicki messaged to say that she'll be in a meeting and she won't be able to meet me for lunch. At first I was contemplating Crystal Jade @ Plaza Singapura. The dark clouds simply told me to stick to within China Square. So most likely we'll still go for 四川 food.

Coloured CCTV in a prata shop
Ate quite a lot tonight coz I was a little hungry. Went Fong Seng to 打包 Maggi Goreng. But I had a quick Nasi Lemak there before going home. Though it was raining, the place was still crowded. I'm rather impressed by the LCD screen @ the cashier's desk. It's connected to the coloured CCTV all over the Cheese Prata Shop. Probably they had too many people eating and leaving without paying.
Family badminton
Badminton-wise, it's a family affair today. David couldn't make it last minute. So it was 八舅, Zijie & Ziteng. At first Zijie & Me paired up against the father and son team. We won both sets. Later 八舅 paired up w me against the younger pair. We won one game each. The scores were quite close except for the first game. I think for now, everyone's standard is almost on par. When I played singles w Ziteng, I won narrowly by 11-8.
Some timings
Took some timings w my phone. It takes 15 minutes to walk from my desk in office to Read Crescent. It takes 11 minutes to walk from Read Crescent to the Fitness First bathroom. I take 14 minutes to bathe. Didn't know that I take so long to bathe. But it includes removing and wearing my clothes. So @ home, I should take a much shorter time. Eventually I took a quick bath @ home and it took 7 minutes. My T41 takes 2 minutes to boot up and 1.5 minutes to shut down. I needed 8 minutes to get my Maggi Goreng @ Fong Seng.
Some craving
Had some craving for Chicken-in-a-Biskit. So I went downstairs to Cold Storage to get it. Also got the Halls Lemon sweet for Ling and Nissin Laksa for myself. Went back office and offered the Chicken Biscuit to everyone. Somehow, it doesn't taste as nice as those that we had 10 over years ago. The Nissin Laksa was fantastic though. Removed the prawns one by one before adding the hot water.
Velocity @ Novena
Also went online to find out that the Guiness 9-Ball Tour Singapore leg will be played @ Velocity @ Novena Square for the next 3 days. I didn't know that Novena Square has been transformed into a Sports Mall. I don't remember them having a pool hall. But anyway, I think the last time I remembered being there was when Daddy was still alive. So that's quite some time ago.
Sudoku competition
Went to dailysudoku.com and did the most difficult Sudoku there. I even went to Mediacorp's website to see if I can register for the competition. The competition is only open to students from Primary 3 to Secondary 5. I'm over-qualified. Level 5 in Great Eastern doesn't count I suppose.

Meeting Irene @ Viva Pub
Irene did meet me to get back her Star stuffed toy after all. We were supposed to meet @ Central Mall. She was supposed to come from Tanjong Pagar. But she got lost and ended up near Henderson Road. God knows how she got there. Luckily I managed to get her on the phone and guided her back to Central Mall. We had drinks @ Viva Pub. We chose it simply because it was opened. We made our way home @ 7+.
'Shy O Jar Bore'
Joined the lunch gang after coming back from Bugis. Since my E71 could read SMSes, we spent a good part of the lunch hour trying to trick my phone into spouting Hokkien Vulgarities. It's not as easy as it seems because my E71 pronounces words the 'Ang Moh' way. So type 'Xiao Char Bor' will just end 'Say-o Chair Bore'. I had to type 'Shy O Jar Bore' to make it sound more like it. It's Bo Liao but fun. Xinhui tried to send a few SMSes on her own to me and Irene sent some Malay words. The E71 did reasonably okay w the Malay words.
Fallen tree
Joanne told me about a fallen tree near GE Buliding when we met in the lift. I didn't know how severe it was until I went to Channelnewsasia's website and saw the piece of news there. It happened along South Bridge Road outside One George Street. I began to hear Angeline complaining of being stuck in a jam for 45 minutes. I didn't even noticed it when I crossed South Bridge Road @ Fook Hai building. I must have been still asleep. But when I went to Fitness First to bathe, I saw some police officers in luminous jackets cutting up the tree w a chainsaw already.

Bought Mee Goreng from Casuarina Curry. I like their system of ordering. You order @ the cashier. You pay. You give a receipt to the guys in the kitchen. 2 3SGs asked behind me if I have ordered after waiting w me for sometime. I then directed them to the cashier. I think I heard them calling me 'sir' if my ears are still alright. I think the Mee Goreng @ Casuarina Curry has overtaken the Mee Goreng @ Adam Road as my favourite Mee Goreng ever since the old man @ Naina Mohamaad Stall retired.

Helped Xinhui w the registration portion for ezhouse. Went to see Junbin's new house. Mocha is their Shih-Tzu's name. She tried to smell my dick. We all laughed and she got embarrassed. The house is quite decent. Especially for the fact that only 2 persons & a dog. Went home. Put petrol @ Yarwood Mobil on the way home. Xinhui kept saying that there's problem with her codes on Ezhouse UAT. But I couldn't see any problem there.
Food
Went Tiong Bahru Market. Ling had 水粿 while I had Carrot Cake. Went Kiliney Road to recce the Casuarina Curry stall. Bought Condensed Milk for Ling. Went home. Had Hash Browns and 豆乾 for lunch. Bathed. Slept through the afternoon. Had 饺子 for dinner. Fetched Mummy to Singapore Conference Hall for Siyan's performance. Went Old Chang Kee @ the former Rex Cinema. Bought Curry Puff for Ling. Went home. Bathed.

Ling woke up earlier than me and she watched Animal Planet. The first thing that I did was to read Zhihua's blog. It's more like an academic blog than any other thing. Created an account for Zhihua @ my blog too. Had Chee Cheong Fun.

Took a bath. Had Porridge w 油条 for lunch. Granny kept looking @ the KFC and Burger King pamphlets. So we decided to buy KFC for dinner. Watched 'L : Change the World' & 'Delta Farce'. Went Bukit Timah Plaza to buy KFC. Went King Albert Park to return the 2 DVDs. Went home. Went Ayer Rajah Industrial Estate to pick Ling's parents up. Went Dover to buy some tit bits for Ling. Went to Tanglin Halt. Bought 海鲜炒饭 for Ling's Dad and 鱼片荷粉 for Ling's Mum. They went back home to change. Went back home w Ling's parents. Ling's parents had dinner and we sat around the living room. Chit-chatted w Granny. Granny kept asking Ling to take cough medicine. Offered Ling's Dad and Granny some Corden Bleu. Fetched Ling's Parents to a funeral @ Dover. Answered some queries on ezhouse for Xinhui. She sent me the php code that she did.
Weird Dream
Had a weird dream. Ling cracked an egg and a baby bird came out. The baby bird was dying and needed milk. Carried the bird to a Shell Petrol Station. Couldn't find milk. Asked the cashier if they got milk. She said yes. Went round again and couldn't find. I asked here 'Where?'. She didn't answer. Got so angry that I just shouted 'Where?!' I woke up instantly and of course Ling heard it.

He's quite small sized but can hit very far from the back. Went office to clock out and Fitness First to bathe. Went Adam Road to buy Nasi Goreng. Picked Mei up from Shangrila. Went home. Ling ate some of my Nasi Goreng and egg. Slept @ 2 am.
Jiangfeng's farewell lunch
Joined Stephen's team @ Central for Jiangfeng's farewell lunch. It's his last day and he's from Zhuhai. So we talked briefly about Gongbei and 莲花路. Xinhui borrowed my camera and took pictures of the food. Food is okay but I think 2 Japanese meals in 2 days is a little too much.

Went Fitness First to bathe. Went to a China Restaurant along Mosque Street for dinner w Song Jing & Raymond. Ordered Ma Po Dou Fu. There was a group of Japanese at the next table. Raymond knew a bit of Japanese. Went to PDS Bar. It's a Filipino version of Thai Disco. Except that it's quieter & the guys are Ang Mohs. Drove to office to pack. Went King Albert Park and bought McSpicy for Ling went home. Mei told me about how her friend drove her to Ikea, Bugis & Ang Mo Kio & they didn't really know the way.
The morning
Had Bee Hoon for breakfast. Ling brought it back from Hwa Chong yesterday. Jogged 4 rounds around GE Building. This time I jogged in an anti-clockwise direction. Spoke to Dawn in office. She's a Fitness First member too. She's early this week because her husband fetched her to work. Went Fitness First to bathe.

Fatherhood
Made further progress on the Telemoney payment integration. Met Cai Wei & Nancy for lunch @ 國府. It's a restaurant similar to 故乡. It serves Sichuan Food. Finally had the chance to eat 坩埚茶树菇 in Singapore. Cai Wei told me that he woke up @ 5 am and carried his baby daughter coz she was having fever. He felt physical discomfort but he wasn't unhappy @ all. This is what fatherhood is about. Gave them a treat coz they've been treating me. Nancy invited me to the Toastmasters' Gathering this Friday.
New jogging route
Jogged 4 laps around Great Eastern Building and the shophouses around it. Trying out the route for the first time. Lots of Zebra Crossings.

It's Mummy's birthday today - We went Lai Wah Restaurant for dinner
Mummy's Birthday Dinner
Went to Lai Wah for Mummy's birthday dinner. She took quite long to decide what to order. So I ordered all the food myself. Mummy invited her sisters and 三舅. 三舅 brought a bottle of Otard Jade along. Mei brought a cake from work. Shared the cost of the cake w Mei. Mei showed me the clock function on her phone that only functions when the phone buttons are pressed. I was kept busy the whole night between chatting w everyone, pouring Corden Bleu & taking food for Granny. Went Cluny Court on the way home so that Mei could pass something to her colleague. Went home.
Lazing around for the whole day
Woke up @ 10:50 am. Ate Chee Cheong Fan and Maggi Chicken. Read newspapers. Had BBQ Fish and Hash Browns for lunch. Felt a little nauseous. Watched a travelling programme on travelling in Mozambique. Woke up @ 7:10 and went out w Mummy to Copthorne Orchid. Picked 姨婆 and the 2 表姑s up. 姨婆spoke a lot about her childhood to me. This time, we went Tiong Bahru for breakfast. Ate Carrot Cake. Bought Fishball Noodles for Ling. Went home. Mummy fetched Mei to work @ Vivo City. The 2 表姑 went along to shop, leaving the 2 old ladies @ home to chit chat.

Fetched Alex home from Stadard Chartered Bank Building. His back is so bad that he took a long time to get in and out of the car. Went home. Drove down to Copthorne Orchid in 2 cars to fetch 姨婆 and the 2 表姑s. Our dinner place was Jumbo @ Serangoon Gardens Country Club. Mummy ordered mostly seagood. But there was 菠菜 and 豆腐 for me. Peeled the prawns for Granny & Ling.
Installed Tetris on my phone
Went Hong Lim Market to buy Curry Mee. Bought for Xinhui & Irene as well. Didn't buy for Tang Seng coz he doesn't take spicy food. In the end he ate lunch on his own. Xinhui transferred her tetris game to me via Bluetooth. Only Xinhui, Irene & me were @ 11th floor pantry. I played Tetris until Level 27. Alex would be following me home because of his injured back. Showed Irene how the E71 could read SMSes out loud. Ling called me. Xinhui commented that I spoke in 2-syllabi phrases. Cindy jioed me for lunch for next Wed.
Interesting interview on Philip Yeo
Read this article in the Straits Times. It's an interview w Philip Yeo, the ex-CEO of the Economic Development Board. I share a lot of very similar view w him. We don't believe in processes, rules, procedures, examinations and over-planning. Those are for mediocore people who are not creative and not talented. The good guys will just leave if you make them write a proposal just to start a research. Great Eastern is just like that. So no real work gets done.

Went Jervois Road to put petrol. Played badminton @ AA. Played a few good games. I really went all out until my lower abs were aching. Had dinner @ Old Holland Road Coffee Shop w Yeo & Lawrence. Ling joined us. The food tonight was especially nice. Yeo ordered 水蛋, 公保鸡丁, Sambal Kang Kong and another dish which I don't know the name. The 公保鸡丁 had a lot of Chicken and the 水蛋 was solid enough. Walked to check out Ba Ba Black Sheep. It's a pub beside the Old Holland Road Coffee Shop. Saw a Lambourghini there. Sent Yeo & Lawrence home. Talked to Mummy about tomorrow. I decided to pay the $20. Ling took some photos of a plaque from Hwa Chong. Checked email. Telemoney finally gave me the UAT integration URL. That took almost 5 emails. 4 of those were answered by Rabiah and the only useful one was answered by Li San.
Daddy we miss you
As of today, Daddy has left us for 3 years. Time really flies. We have put a memorium in page 13 of the Home Section in the Straits Times.

Vincent came by and looked @ my phone. He's also very interested in it and asked me how is the phone. Told him that I am very happy w it. Seem like the E71 may become the next big phone after the ubiquitous 8210 and 8250.
Sitting @ 12th floor today
The lunch gang sat @ 12th floor because the 11th floor pantry was full when they got there. Accidentally drank Xinhui's tea by mistake. So I made another cup for here. Stephen talked about a dangerous driver who nearly knocked into his car when Stephen was changing lanes. Stephen was a bit pissed and horned @ the driver. What happened was quite comical. The driver immediately sped up and beat a red light and the cameras promptly flashed.
Hong Lim Market - 1230 hrs
The market is hot and humid. anyway, which part of Singapore isn't? The fans managed to make queuing up for Song Jing's Fish Porridge all the more memorable by blowing the fumes from the stalls around the whole place. Why isn't Singapore in the middle of somewhere like... Alaska?

Just bought lunch from Rendang Corner. Will be gg to Hong Lim Market next to get 鱼洲 for Song Jing.
A new visitor
Terence emailed me that Janice, his Taiwanese friend is coming down to Singapore for a visit this weekend and asked if I could recommend some hotels and bring her around. Told him that I would love to do that. Would be good if he came as well.
E71 - More accolades
The browser for the E71 has improved. It can even go to poopyhead.net and I can work the admin module from there. The crucial javascripts all worked and the formatting was exactly what you would see on a normal browser.

Had 芋粿 for breakfast. Ling helped to make it last Sunday. Wasn't salty enough but it was small matter. There was some left so I told Mummy I'll leave it for her.

An empty DVD Box + Loneliness
Drove to King Albert Park. Returned Mei's DVDs. The 'National Treasure 2' DVD box was empty. Mei must have left it @ home. Returned the rest of the DVDs anyway. Went home. There was Egg w Onions, Sambal Kang Kong & Steamed fish. I finished the egg and Kang Kong. Ling had to cajole and feed me so that I would finish the fish. Found the 'National Treasure 2' DVD on the computer table in the family room. Went back to King Albert Park to return the DVDs. Went home by the small road between Rifle Range Road & Hua Guan Avenue. Poured myself 2 glasses of Absolut Vanilla when I got home. Suddenly hated my fats and started doing sit ups and push ups. Talked to Ling about a lack of friends and being lonely. Ling says I still have her but she sleeps @ 10 everyday. Everyone seem to be a wet blanket these days. The usual 'Got to work tomorrow' always surfaces. Am I an alien or what? I wake up @ 6 am everyday and I don't even use this excuse. I remember staying up until 4:30 am when Kiat dropped by w Yaren and we played Indian Poker w Mummy, 满姑 & Mei. Watched a National Geographic channel on self-defence. Also did a backup of the ezhouse codes so that I can convert it to Windows PHP Compatible code.
A good chat
Had a chat w Siu Ming & James about waking up early and night activities. I'm glad that I chatted w them. Firstly, I could kill time while waiting for 7 pm to come. Secondly, I wouldn't be spending money while waiting for 7 pm to come.

Ling has been calling my handphone today coz for the first time, my phone has free incoming calls.

Just hard resetted my E71 together w all my entries written in the morning! Damn! I think the E71 is not very friendly w Windows 2000. I had to make Windows 2000 think that my E71 is an E70.
Lunch
Ate the bread w ham from home. Asked Stephen to buy lunch for me. Went 11th floor to join the lunch gang. Showed them my phone. They all agreed that it looked nice.
GPS on E71
Went Fitness First. Played w the GPS function of my E71 there. Went back to office. Ling called and told me that I have forgotten to bring my phone to office.
Wimbledon
Woke up and went to wimbledon.org. Saw that Nadal has beaten Federer in 5 sets. Ling woke up early and pinched some of my Maggi Assam. She prepared ham w bread for me to bring to office.

E71 GPS
Ling's Mum cooked 鲁肉 and 鲁蛋 at home. I ate 5 eggs. Ling learnt how to prepare 芋粿 from her Mum. Went Brighton to pick Mei up. Played w the GPS function on my E71. It recorded an average speed of 48 km/h from Tanglin Halt to Brighton. Made a detour to Serangoon Gardens so that Mei could buy some yoghurt. Went home and tried the GPS function on my E71. For some reason, I couldn't connect to a GPS satelite from my home. Watched the last 2 laps of the British Grand Prix. Glad that Ferrari didn't win anything. Watched the Wimbledon final between Federer & Nadal. I was rooting for Federer. But Nadal stormed through the first 2 sets 6-4 6-4. Federer was leading 5-4 in the the third set when rain interrupted play. I think Federer was really lousy today. He had 12 break points and converted only one. He gave away all his break points so tamely.
Auntie Chiow's letter
Auntie Chiow from England sent Mummy a handmade birthday card and a long letter. She still remembered that it's my 2nd wedding anniversary. Hand-written letters are a rarity and I never fail to enjoy reading them.
New Handphone
Returned the Excel VBA book @ the Queenstown library book-drop. Went down to LG @ Vivo City to see if Mei's LG Secret could be exchanged within the 7-day period. But I was redirected to Starhub. Starhub changed the phone. No questions asked. Hope it's a good phone this time. While waiting, I thought about the E71. Lishan just bought the phone. She said that the phone rocks except that the 'A' key is below the 'Q' key. I've got no problems with that coz I've been using the E61 for almost 2 years. After Starhub gave me the replacement, I walked to Niichi to meet Ling, bought a dress for her. We then went to M1 to buy my E71. The 3 staff inside were all M1 staff but they wore Samsung T-Shirts. 2 of them were serving customers @ the counter. One of them approached me and asked if she could help. Told her that I was gg to upgrade plan and buy handset. We then stood there in silence for a minute or so coz I thought I was queueing up.

Ling paid the $198. Hopefully, she can claim from her school. We then went to Ling's parents' canteen. Played w the E71. It comes w GPS as well. And for the first time, I have a GPS Device that works.
Beauty World - 1305
We had Nuggets, Potatoes & soup for lunch. Didn't really fancy the soup. Maybe I really don't like things from the sea in my soup. The can opener failed us in the morning when we tried to open a can of mushrooms. Went Beauty World after lunch to buy a can opener. We then went King Albert Park so that Ling could buy her bacon sausage and cake from Bengawan Solo. I bought my Sunkist Orange juice as well. Mummy came back and I offered to bring Mei's LG phone to Vivo City for repair.

Mummy left her 2 phones @ home again. Helped Mummy to find out where is the LG's Service Centre. Main one is @ Alexandra Road opposite Harbour City Restaurant. This is open from Mondays to Saturdays. The other one is @ Vivo. That is open 7 days a week.

The movie 'P.S. I love you' is surprisingly a good movie. It's about a guy who died and he wrote a lot of post-dated letters to his wife prior to his death from brain tumour.

Fetched Edwin from his home and we had Martell & Vodka from my porch. Nothing beats 1-on-1 drinking. I used Hot Water as a mixer whole night and nothing beats Hot Water. Mummy came back while we were drinking. She told me that the marketing trip to Tanglin Halt tomorrow was cancelled. We went Adam Road for more beer & supper. Went home.
Ling's Home - 2000 hrs
Went to Times the book shop. Read a book that taught you how to do networking. Agreed w almost everything in the book. Ling read a book on parenting. Ling felt hungry so we went to the Ice Cream vendor outside Plaza Singapura. Ling asked if I want an Ice Cream as well. I shook my head. The Ice Cream vendor suggested she buy 'Yao Tou Wan' for me. Walked back to the car. Drove to Fitness First and took a bath. Wanted to meet Yeo for a 1-on-1 drink tonight. But he's meeting friends @ Sentosa for dinner. So we agreed to meet next week. Ling & I went Arab Street for a walk coz she read from Xiaxue's blog that there are DIY jewellery for sale. All we saw were carpet shops, textile shops and closed shutters. The carpets are real good though. Good enough for me to stop and look @ 1 of them. We walked back to our car through Bali Lane. Arranged w Edwin for drinks later in the night. I would pick him up from his home @ 9 pm.

The Indonesian Rice has too much moisture. Other than that, the curry is nice but there's too little. The egg is good (which egg isn't?). There's soup as well. I'll come back again but only when I happen to be around.

Earned a good work out and a mosquito bite. Walked up to the food court where Ling ate her favourite Beef Noodle. She said that the Indonesian Food Stall near the Beef Noodle stall is nice. 2 Chinese ladies were manning the stall. There's one more cook in the kitchen whom I cannot see. I could see the long queue even @ 4+. Decided to give it a shot. A look @ the menu and I knew that I could only eat the Satay Set, which cost $4.80. Had to wait 3 minutes for it.

Watched a National Geographic programme on the bottom of the ocean. We had cooked 豆乾, Salted Fish w Egg, Salad & Mushroom Soup for lunch. I had a separate dish of Egg without Salted Fish but I loved both the versions anyway. Mei's LG Secret suddenly died on her and she called me to bring down her old phone for her. But I couldn't find it. Tania said that she put it in the bag containing the new Mobile Modem from Starhub. I don't see it. Maybe Mummy has taken it. Tested the Mobile Modem from Starhub. It works. But I couldn't send SMS with it. Not sure if it is disabled because it is a mobile 3G plan.

Had porridge w Peanut for breakfast. Mummy didn't buy 油条 today. Ling is packing her wardrobe now. I can't believe that we could squeeze so much clothes into a small wardrobe. Watched a Premier League Snooker match between Steve Davis and some 'Robertson' guy. Tania told me that 阿舅 dropped by and gave us his old exercise bike.

Collecting Granny's Social Visit Pass from ICA was a breeze. No waiting @ all. Took Bus 197 back. Went 11th floor to look for the lunch gang but they've already dispersed. The girls didn't join the lunch gang. Went shopping I suspect.
Bus 2 - 1230 hrs
On the way to collect Granny's Long Term Social visit pass now. Just had 菜饭 for lunch @ Apollo Centre. Decided to take bus because I didn't want to pay the ERP Charges. The bus is full of Uncles & Aunties.
Office - 1142 hrs
Went Viva Pub for a drink w Alex before badminton. There was free pool and we had 3 jugs for $50. In the end, we played badminton slightly intoxicated and of course we got thrashed. Went down to Golden Mile for food after badminton coz Laval is there with Chivu, his French colleague. Alex could order his food in Thai. Lawrence and Yeo went back as they didn't want to stay out too late. Laval came down to join us for a while. Alex & I then went Thai Disco to join him & Chivu. Reached home @ 2+ and helped Ling to go through her minutes of meeting.

Boredom starts to set in. Began reading up about the Nokia E71 after spotting it in a Starhub advertisement this morning. A check w M1's website revealed that it's on sale. I have the urge to go get it now. After all, I think I want to keep my Nokia E61 as a spare phone and don't think I'll wait until after my reservist in September before buying it. Will be meeting Ting Wah for lunch @ Annalakshmi later. Her original choice was Hans but Hans is over-priced, noisy & has lousy food.
