Ate Carrot Cake w 老干妈 Chili. Went JB. There was a big jam today. Totally unexpected coz it's a Sunday morning. I guess it's the double whammy of the school holidays and the crisis in Bangkok. A lot of Singporeans have changed their holiday destinations to Malaysia. It took us 1 hr 20 minutes (9:50 am to 11:10 am) to go from Bukit Timah Market (Ling bought Chee Cheong Fan there) into JB. We went Taman Daya to eat Chanai (Singaporeans call it Prata) and Nasi Goreng. Took us another 1 hr 15 minutes to get into Singapore. Received flyers telling us that Vehicles entering JB will use the new Immigration Complex from 2 Dec 2008 onwards. The complex will be fully operational on 16 Dec 2008. Went home. Mei was out already by then. Ate Macaroni w Tomato + Meat sauce. Ate some of this morning's Carrot Cake w the 老干妈 Chilli. Went to Dragon Gate Restaurant. Met Junbin, Wei Wei & friends to have a discussion on the wedding this Saturday. Clayton (Junbin's polytechnic friend) will be the photographer. Alvin (Another of Junbin's polytechnic friend) will take care of alcohol. Went Lai Wah to eat after that. Alex & Christine joined us. They are brothers and sisters and they were house mates in Perth. We chose 麗華 coz Alex & Christine got to pick their Mum up and her shop is very near 麗華. Junbin treated all of us. Went home. Ling folded clothes for the baby. Watched Incredible Tales (Chinese Version). It's about a dead woman who supposedly came back and took care of her baby for a year. Mei took the Kelisa to Thomson for supper.

Woke up @ 9. Ling watched the programs recorded last night. Ate Fried Rice. Ling ate Myojo Chicken. Read newspapers. Mumbai hotels have been freed. But 1 Singaporean died in the process. The PAD is still camping out @ Suvarnabhummi airport. Wanted to look for job. But saw only 3 positions that I'm remotely interested in. Ling fried some Carrot Cake. Nice. Ate Carrot Cake for lunch. Mei watched a DVD ('What happens in Vegas) in our room. Ling & I went out @ 3 pm. Went Tanglin Halt to fetch Heng Kui. Went Choa Chu Kang Block 687B 18th floor to pick up a computer table from Heng Kui's church leader @ City Harvest. The flat belongs to him. Dropped Ling @ MacDonald's Tea Garden on the way back to Tanglin Halt. Heng Kui took quite some time to fix the table. Went back to Tea Garden to fetch Ling. Bought Big Mac Meal for Heng Kui and Nuggets w Fries for myself. Dropped Ling @ her home. There's a Malay wedding going on @ the basketball court w loud music. Went to Ling's home. Ate the MacDonald's food. Ling's Mum cooked Yong Tau Hoo. Ate a bit. Took Ling's Mum for a drive to Orchard Road to see the lights. Went to Chinatown. Paid $233 for some Bird's Nest so that Ling's Mum could cook for Ling. Bought 老干妈 Chilli Sauce for $3.20. Did some shopping. Ling bought some maternity clothes. Went Sheng Shiong. Bought 13 cans of Beer Chang. Ling's Mum bought more stuff. Dropped Ling's Mum @ home. Watched 'Mars Attacks!'. Watched 我猜 on Channel U. The focus today is on which babe looked the best in a uniform. Watchde a documentary on the Roman Empire on History Channel.

Set up Skype on my T41. Installed the drivers and installed Skype. Chatted w 姑姑 for more than an hour. There's something wrong w her web cam. So we couldn't see her though she could see us. We had Cream Pasta for lunch. Mei also ate a bit. Mummy came back and ate Bee Hoon. Went out in the Kelisa w Ling. Ling drove. We went Queenstown Library. Ling returned and borrowed more books. She then drove to Orchard. We went Takashimaya to look @ Baby Stuff. Saw a baby strap that I liked. But it cost more than $100. Bought a portable electric cooker for $55. Went Food Court and bought Carrot Cake for Ling. We then went to the supermarket where Ling finished more sushi. Went SMU to pick Mei up. Mei took over the wheel. There was heavy rain and the wiper speed reflected the heaviness of the rain. Mummy cooked 药材鸡 for dinner. The Spinach today was bitter and lousy. There were fish fingers too. Watched 'The Mummy' on Channel 5. Watched the 45th anniversary of Channel 8.

Sent Alex home for him to change. Dropped him @ Stefan's home.

Bought Shampoo. Ling bought 2 ties for RM10 for me. Went to do some recce around Permas Jaya and saw some eating places. Went back to JB by the Permas Jaya bridge. Went back to Singapore. No jam. Went to the Esso @ Eng Neo Avenue to use the toilet. Ling took over the wheel from there. Went Tanglin Halt. Ling bought Donuts. Went Ling's home. Had dinner there. Ling's Mum cooked Curry Fish Head. She cooked Eggs w Onion for me coz I don't like Curry Fish Head. Watched 鹿鼎记. Ling's Mum also cooked Black Chicken Soup for her. Went home. Mei called and asked me to bring down alcohol to her friend's birthday party. Was prepared to give only a bottle of Absolut Vanilla & a Merlot. But halfway through she said that it's not needed. The ground floor is quite a decent place to wait for people. Ample air-conditioning. Comfortable seats. There's even a cafe selling Tuna Sandwich and Beer.

Michelle emailed me last year's Practical Exam. Archana emailed me her Lab 8 questions. I think Archana's CS1101C is twice as difficult as Michelle's CS1101J. Watched 恶作剧2吻. Mummy cooked Chicken Rice for lunch. Showed Granny & Mummy the ultrasound photos. Looked @ old photos. Wanted to play Maplestory. But the patcher didn't work. Started to download it and the server went down @ 700MB out of 1 GB. Slept until 3 pm. Went Sembawang. Gave CS1101C tuition to Archana. Managed to do 2 out of 3 questions. Her mother gave me a packet of Orange Juice. Drove home immediately. There was Fried Egg w Long Beans and Chilli. There was Fish Fingers. Everyone in the family was @ the table too. Went Johor Bahru. Put RM50 into my Touch N Go Card @ the Caltex @ Taman Sri Pelangi. Tried to look for E & Y restaurant. But it seems to be closed. Bought Maggi Goreng & Mee Goreng from a Mamak Stall @ Taman Sri Pelangi. Put petrol @ the Mobil @ Jalan Yahya Awal. Went back by the lorry checkpoint. No jam @ Woodlands. Went home. Helped Mummy set up the laptop for a Skype conference w 姑姑. The Maggi Goreng and Mee Goreng from this particular stall wasn't so nice. Tried to play Red Alert 2. But the Money Trainer interfered w the game's thread.
