Asked Taniah to pack the patties into my lunch box. Made photocopies of Daddy's Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, my birth certificate, IC, Granny's Passport & the appeal letter so that I could extend Granny's Social Visit Pass tomorrow. Mei fetched Ling to work. Eugene was in the car as well. Wei Wei also uploaded Saturday's picnic photos to Facebook. Seems like it was a party for Mocha & Can Can based on their photos. Ling called. We talked until Ling's handphone ran out of battery. Ate the Patties for lunch. Took a walk around China Street. China Street is now a 2-way (almost) dead end street. Picked Alex up from 6 Battery Road. Sent Alex home. The travel time for today is a record. 20 minutes from Raffles Place to Jalan Jurong Kechil. Went home for dinner. Watched 小娘惹. It started @ 8 pm today.

Woke up @ 10 am w aches on my body from yesterday's exertions. Walked w Ling to the coffeeshop near my house for Lontong ($2.50, Ling's breakfast). I then ate 面线 Kosong ($1, my breakfast) from the 肉骨茶 stall. Went home. Went Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Alumni Club for Sathish's and Huiyi's son's (Baby Shankar) first month. It was quite difficult to find the place if you don't go via Singapore Institute of Management. Saw Jiemin & Huiying (JC Friends) there. But didn't have much to talk to them. Saw Edwin there. Moved closed to him. Linda & Andy Yeo were there too. Thiru was also there. He's back from Perth for a holiday. He's training to be an SIA Pilot now. His phone number is still the same after all these years. There were door gifts. Edwin & I wasn't interested. In fact, Edwin was prepared to just leave it on the table when we left. Ling decided to take them for Taniah. Decided to leave w Edwin coz there was no booze. Spoke to Thiru and we promised each other to meet up in January for drinks. Dropped Jiemin along Clementi Road for her to take cab. She's pregnant and her due date is quite close to Ling's. Had Carlsberg w Edwin @ the coffeeshop near my place. Talked about 'Silence in a group setting'. Edwin remarked that we had this conversation before. Dropped Edwin @ the bus stop opposite Old Holland Road. Went Tebrau City. Not much jam @ Causeway. Our objective today is to get bed sheets for the baby. Shopped @ Aussino. Nothing suitable. We went to another shop selling baby stuff. Nothing suitable as well. Finally bought bedsheets, bolsters and a pillow from Jusco. I also bought socks (to stop Ling from asking me to buy socks) and Ling bought 2 nursing bras. We bought some food from KFC before going back. Expected a heavy jam but it was more managaeble. Decided to take the right most lane for a change. It's as good as the left most lane. Our window wasn't working so Ling had to open the door to pass the passports to the immigration officer. Went home and had Tom Yam Soup for dinner. Watched the first half the Asean Cup Final 2nd leg between Vietnam and Thailand. Thailand was leading 1-0 but they were tied 2-2 on aggregate. Went Sembawang Hills. Fetched Mei to Eugene's home @ Woodlands. We brought back 3 Awfully Chocolate Cakes, Mei's shoes and uniform for washing. Went back. Checked scores. Vietnam equalised in the match and won the Asean Cup. Checked Facebook. Xinhui was the first to upload photos from the picnic. Watched Fulham draw 2-2 w Chelsea.

Took out Granny's passport, my Birth Certificate and the appeal letter for photocopying tonight. Granny's Social Visit Pass expires on 9 Jan 2009 and got to renew it on Monday. Asked Mummy to pass me Daddy's Birth Certificate and Death Certificate. Drove the Honda. Ling & I went to Dragon Gate restaurant for Dim Sum Buffet. Junbin still had extra vouchers from the wedding. Ate 4 bowls of 皮蛋粥 and a lot of Dim Sum. We had 2 tables. Of course our food consumption couldn't match Tng's table. Christine's sister (Helen) brought Baby Sophie along. She's half-Jewish. That explains for her uber-curly hair. Carried her for a while and everyone said that I am good w babies. Went home. Changed to the Kelisa. Went 63B to pick Laval up followed by Irene and Linlay (her boyfriend) @ Lengkok Bahru. Simon was the first to arrive followed by Valerie. We arrived next. Helped Valerie reverse the car to where we were waiting. Valerie brought Can Can (her schneuzer) along. She seemed to be afraid of us. Simon & Laval were very well-dressed for the day. We went into Sentosa after Junbin, Wei Wei & Mocha arrived w Xinhui. The payment for Sentosa is by Cash Card now. Went straight to Tanjung Beach coz there are not much tourists (Palawan Beach) and foreign workers (Siloso Beach). Valerie had ground sheets and I brought foldable chairs. But other than Meiling (who was the 'chor chor' of the day coz she was seated almost the whole day), no one used them. They either stood or sat on the grass. But nevertheless, I enjoyed myself tremondously. The sun, breeze, sea, company & scenery helped. Not to mention the booze. Xinhui took a pic of my bum when it got exposed. Laval brought Barons. Xinhui brought titbits. Irene prepared salad. Valerie prepared sandwiches (I didn't manage to eat it). Junbin & Wei Wei brought wine. I brought 12 cans of Chang Beer. The guys had a game of soccer after boozing. But within 10 minutes our 30-yr-old engines conked out. It made us look like wussies compared to those beach boys/gals playing beach volleyball the whole day. Went to the temporary toilet to take water. It was a bad decision coz for all the suffering, everyone used less than 10% of the water I carried from the toilet all the way to our picnic spot. Simon left early coz he has got furniture arriving. We were too lazy to move after sunset but we were hungry and needed a place where Mocha is allowed to go. So I went to 打包 food from the coffee shop near my place and we did the usual dinner-at-my-car-porch thing. Xinhui bathed @ my place after she complained of itchiness. We were tired and hungry. So by 11+, the things were all kept and everyone was home. Bathed and slept immediately.

Checked Woodlands Checkpoint webcam. No jam to JB but a huge jam into Singapore. Mei followed me. Mei asked me to deliver a cake to Yan Fen. Dropped Mei @ Repulic Plaza. Went Fitness First. It was raining so the beach chairs were wet. Tried sleeping on one of them but it was too uncomfortable. So I just played the racing game on my handphone. Ling called. She suspected that her handphone and wallet is still in the Kelisa. Borrowed Samta's umbrella to retrieve Ling's handphone and wallet. Saw Felix go to 10th floor to distribute Xmas presents. Helped Kok Kee to make changes to the enquirer role for DCMS Vietnam SIT. Received Xmas presents from Asheryne, Kristine & Xinhui. Talked to the lunch gang about the picnic on Saturday. Irene's boyfriend would be coming. Both him and Laval are Mauritians. Valerie wants to bring her dog, so she'll be driving as well. Read about Singapore fans beating up Vietnamese fans outside the National Stadium on Sunday after Singapore lost. Stupid pricks. Cindy gave me gingerbread mini biscuits. Went to Awfully Chocolate, Republic Plaza and collected Yan Fen's cake. Paid the $49.60 first. It's expensive even with staff discount. Told Raj to come @ 4 pm for the Xmas party so that we can go buy Pizza together. He'll be leaving early @ 10 pm for another function. Went to the KFC @ the Green Building to meet Ling. Ling ate 2-Piece Meal there. Ling decided not to meet her ADRC colleagues. Went Yan Fen's house to deliver the cake. Went home. Mummy bought a Xmas tree. I set it up and Ling decorated it. Raj came @ 4 pm. We went to Pizza Hut @ Bukit Timah Plaza and bought the Xmas Special Meal. Went back home. Yeo, Josephine, 进杰, Alex, Andy, Pauline, Lawrence & Jackson also came. Fetched Alex to Maplewoods for another Xmas Party. 七姨 came as well. Pauline is expecting a boy and is due in March as well. Time passed really fast when you have fun. Before you know it, it's 3:30 am and everyone has left. Jackson stayed the latest. Alex also came back after his Maplewoods party. Mei also came back @ the same time.

Woke up @ 8+ am. Went for the same breakfast for 3 days in a row. Checked out and left Pulai Springs @ 11 am. Went Jalan Yahya Awal to put petrol. Went straight back to Singapore. No jam @ new JB Checkpoint. Got delayed by 2 cars in front of us which took a long time @ the checkpoint. Mummy's Honda was behind us initially and managed to clear JB's immigration ahead of us. We also ended up in a slow lane @ Singapore side. So when we were @ the secondary clearance, Mummy was home already. Went home. Eugene came. Slept w Ling. Went Queenstown Library w Ling. Ling drove. Borrowed 'Young Parents' magazine. Went Tanglin Halt. Bought Sunday Times from Sheng Shiong. Ling had Ice Kachang. Went to Ling's home. Ling's Mum cooked Curry Fish Head. Didn't like the Fish Scales. Took some bird's nest back. Watched Singapore lose 1-0 to Vietnam @ home. Cleared emails and Facebook. Xinhui prepared the deployment form for eMotor's changes.

Woke up @ 9:20 am. Went for breakfast. It's still the same fare. Went back to hotel room. Went out to Jusco @ Taman University w Mummy, Ling & Mei. Mei drove. Parked @ Jusco. Free parking. Mei printed some photos. Went to Jusco's departmental store to shop. I'm more willing to do shopping w Ling in JB. Also I feel that it's her only form of exercise. Everyone bought something except me. Went to the supermarket to look @ baby stuff. Prices here are cheaper than Giant's. Went back to hotel. Played Mahjong w Granny. Granny went to rest. 4 of us played another round. Ling won the most. Mummy lost the most but it's because Granny played as well. Granny could play without stacking her cards. Went to Taman Universiti to buy dinner w Mummy. We bought from the usual open air eating place. I bought Maggi Goreng for RM2.50 from a Mamak Stall near U Mall. Went back Pulai Springs to eat. Played scrabble w Mummy & Ling. Watched TV for a while before sleeping.

Woke up early to swim. The pool is right beside the hotel room. Went for breakfast. It's the same breakfast in October when we came here w Kiat, Yaren, Junbin & Wei Wei. Took a walk around Pulai Springs. Went to the pool @ the golf club. Another Indonesian maid chatted up Taniah. She knows how to speak Mandarin as well. She also said that there's an old lady in her employer's house who don't like to bathe. Surveyed the spa and sauna. Impressive. Can come here on normal day trips to JB. Went back to our hotel room. Mei slept. Played Rummikub w Mummy & Ling. Swam. Ling could still fit into her swim wear. Mei suntanned and looked after Granny. Mummy & Taniah also swam. We saw 2 little girls in the pool. They looked Chinese. Didn't respond when we spoke to them in English or Mandarin. But when Taniah spoke to them in Bahasa, they replied fluently and they started their chatter. Bathed in the hotel room. Went Taman Universiti for dinner. Ate Fried Kway Teow. It's reasonably nice. Much better than Johor Jaya. The Kolo Mee and Assam Laksa was good as well. Went back to Hotel. Mummy, Ling, Mei & I played scrabble. Watched 'The Guardian' w Mei. Also watched 小娘惹 at the same time. Slept @ 11:30 pm.

Woke up @ 7+ am. Mei's @ Killiney Kopitiam w Eugene and asked if we wanted any breakfast. Asked them to buy Prata for Ling. Ate last night's food for breakfast. Packed for Pulai Springs Trip. Bathed. Left home @ 10:35 am. Mei drove the Kelisa. Mummy drove the Honda. Nearly forgot about visiting Daddy. So we went to Garden of Remembrance via PIE, BKE & KJE. Visited Daddy @ Garden of Remembrance. It's his birthday on Saturday. Showed him Ling's stomach. Cleared Woodlands and JB Checkpoint without jams. Went by the new checkpoint in JB. Mummy got lost coz I told Mummy to take the left turn and within the last few days, a new left turn was built to turn back into the complex. Mummy ended up along Jalan Tun Abdul Razak and we met again @ a Petronas after Larkin. Went Taman Universiti for lunch. Had lunch @ a coffee shop. Ate Fried Kway Teow. Went U Mall to shop @ Giant. Our bill came up to RM241. Went Pulai Springs to check in. We got room 218. Mummy & Mei took the small room w the double bed. Granny & Taniah took the other small room. Mummy left Ling & I the big room. Ate the Chicken Pie that Eugene bought. It was fantastic. Ling, Mei & I chatted in one of the small rooms about Eugene. Mummy, Granny & Taniah watched TV as usual. Taniah unpacked everything properly and put them in the wardrobed. Went Taman Universiti to 打包 dinner w Mummy & Ling. Ling drove. Went back to our hotel room and ate. Drank Sake w Mummy.

I've not written much for a long time. Found myself immersed @ Esplanade library's music score collection. I've this sudden urge to just take out my guitar coz of all the wonderful songs I saw. I crave for a drink and jazz music. But right now, I'll just make do w the water cooler and the sound of music from the library's own practice room.

Woke up @ 11+ am. Ate Bee Hoon. Since it was lunch time, I ate 2 Fried Eggs w Rice + Vegetable Soup as well. Went IMM w Ling. Was very lucky to locate a lot almost immediately. Walked around @ Daiso, Watsons and Giant. Went Blk 27 Jalan Bersih and ate $2 Laksa w Ling. It was cheap and good. Will definitely come here again. Went home. Cycled to Binjai Park. One of the houses there was having a house party. Watched Superman Returns on Channel 5. 姑姑 called from US and said that her PC problem. Advised her not to re-install the OS herself.

Woke up @ 9:30 am. Had 油条 w Porridge. Looked for jobs. Only Wyeth had anything remotely suitable. Added Jenny & Hui Juan as friends on Facebook. Had lunch @ home. There were Porridge + Potatoes + Sweet n Sour Pork for lunch. We gave Granny a non-sugar version of the Sweet n Sour Pork. Hung around until 3+. Went JB again. Met Junbin & Wei Wei @ Tebrau City. Shopped for a while before going Johor Jaya for dinner. The Fried Kway Teow wasn't that great. But the rest was okay. Bad jam along the Causeway but still, it took only 1 hr 15 minutes to clear everything. Went home. Junbin & Wei Wei joined us @ home later w White Wine. Drank the White Wine and Sake while watching Liverpool and Hull draw 2-2. It's more fun to watch Soccer w friends. Slept w the lights and TV on. In the end, Ling turned them off.

Sent Ling to Hwa Chong. Went JB. Had Maggi Goreng @ Taman Daya. Put petrol @ Jalan Yahya Awal. Went back to Sg. Causeway quite jammed up. Went home. Bathed and slept the afternoon off. More photos of @ Wei Wei's and Junbin's wedding turned up on Facebook. Added Sylvia as friend on Facebook. Mummy came back before I went out. Went Hwa Chong to pick Ling up. Sent her to Jurong Point to meet Suhyi & Hui Juan. Went office for the KTV Event. Attendance was pathetic. Sang 25 minutes w Siu Ming. Wanted to sing Sandarkan Pada Kenangan w Xinhui. But we ran out of time. Went Jurong Point to join Ling and her friends. Hui Juan went back on her own. Sent Suhyi home. Went home. Watched 通天干探.

Met 进杰 for supper. Checked out the old Bukom Pier. Doesn't look right. Ended up having supper @ Fong Seng.

Went Ling's home to retrieve her handphone. Went JB to put petrol. No jam today. Whole round trip took only 1 hr 20 minutes. Went home. Went Eurokar @ Sungei Kadut to meet Junbin. He's returning the Mini-Cooper today. Went Ivin's for lunch w him. Bought 烧肉饭 for Ling. Went Giant. Junbin bought Chang Beer. Dropped Junbin @ Maplewoods. Recce-ed Farrer Court Market. Fetched Ling from Hwa Chong. Went Giant again. Ling did some marketing there. Fetched Ling back to Hwa Chong. Went home to keep the stuff. Granny's old friend came to visit her today. Didn't recognise her. Fetched Ling from Hwa Chong. Ate Dinner @ home. There was Tom Yam Soup. Yew Mun called and said that there was some password expired error @ SSO SIT. Taught him how to reset the passwords. Cycled around Hua Guan Estate w Ling. Watched Indonesia 0-2 Singapore. First 15 minutes and last half hour. Watched 通天干探 in between. Went Jalan Yahya Awal to fill up petrol. Drove the Kelisa. The round trip took about 2 hours coz there was a jam coming back to Singapore. Added $20 to the cash card on the way back. Ling watched some pre-recorded shows.

Woke up @ 7+ am. Checked out. Went home. Taniah is on leave today. So we had to be @ home by 8+ am. Bought 唯一 Laksa on the way home. At first Mei didn't want to join us for lunch coz she wanted to meet her friends. Told her to meet her friends after lunch coz I didn't like anyone to 放我飞机, especially family. Went Tiong Bahru for lunch w Granny. Mei drove. Granny wanted to take a crap. So I brought her to the bathroom and removed the adult diapers. Went Ling's home. Ate Curry Chicken. Went Jian Hui's house @ Punggol. Ling drove. Took Jian Hui and Nicole to Fishermen's Village. There's only 1 bar/restaurant there now. Played w Nicole and she slowly warmed up to me. I think she talks like an adult and likes to clean up. Went to buy drinks @ Ang Mo Supermarket @ Punggol. Went back to Jian Hui's house. Played Tennis w Nicole. Went back to Ling's home. Took Bird's Nest home. It was prepared by Ling's Mum. Went home. Watched 通天干探.

Mei woke me up @ 5:05 am. Dropped her @ Cavanagh Bridge for the Standard Chartered Marathon. Went back Amara Hotel to sleep. Woke up @ 10+ am. Went Tanjong Pagar Hawker Centre for breakfast. Went back to hotel room. Bathed. Went Beng Hiang for lunch w Junbin and his friends. Went home. Had dinner @ home. Ling & I left home after dinner. Went Queenstown Library. Returned and borrowed some books. Went to Amara Hotel. Wanted to drink w Junbin & his friends. But they were @ the airport. So Ling & I had an early night.

Woke up @ 5:45 am. Bathed. Drove the Mini-Cooper to Junbin's house for his wedding. The rest of his 兄弟s were there already. We left his place @ 6:50 am. Detoured to my place to get my car. Games started once we reached Wei Wei's place. Gotta wear paper underwear. Gotta drink Ribena from Junbin's tits. Gotta eat Grapes from Junbin's crotch. Ate 麻辣香肠. Ate some green juice that had Celery & Bitter Gourd. Junbin then sang. Our ordeal is over. Tea Ceremony. Went back to Junbin's house. Another Tea Ceremony. Ate Buffet. Brought the 烧猪 back to Wei Wei's place. Gave Ling a call. Went back to Junbin's house to return the 烧猪. Went home. Bathed and crashed. Left home @ 5+ pm. Went Dragon Gate Restaurant. I was the first there. Took the changing room key from the counter. I was the co-ordinator. Felt more stressed @ this wedding than my own wedding coz I couldn't make a lot of decisions on the ground. But everything turned out well and I had my fair share of alcohol. Sat next to Ravi. Ling & Mei went back first. They managed to locate Amara Hotel and our room key in Junbin's room. Was among the last to leave in Junbin's car. Junbin went out to eat supper. Was more interested in drinking in the hotel room. So I crashed.
